Race 3 is directed by Remo D’Souza.

Salman Khan was his usual self at the trailer launch of Race 3. He said that he heard the script two years ago, but didn’t get it.

He said, “It went like a bouncer. Ramesh (Taurani) Ji kept insisting on another hearing session. I heard again and it was a new genre for me. I just needed some changes because the kind of films I do, it was not fitting.”

He said he hasn’t seen the earlier films in the Race franchise. He said, “Didn’t get time to watch them, but I knew the format. Just mixed a bit of Hum Aapke Hain Koun in it. In fact, I have never been a part of such a film.”

Race 3 also marks Bobby Deol’s return to mainstream Bollywood, and he credited Salman for his return. He fondly called Salman ‘mamu’. Bobby said, “Mamu is my angel. He is someone who believed in me and he got me at the right time when I was getting more focussed in life. I was preparing myself for work and he called and said, ‘shirt utarega?’”

Race 3, directed by Remo D’Souza, presents Salman as Sikandar, a guy ready to do anything for his family. The film also has Jacqueline Fernandez in an important role. She also talked about her role at the trailer launch. She said, “I have always been a part of action-centric movies, but this is the first time I have gone all out. We have a massive catfight in the film. It was one of the hardest acting scenes in my career.”

Race 3 will hit the screens on June 15, 2018.
