Every year, at around this time, most people renew their gym memberships, start eating healthy, or make some other resolutions. Celebrities are no different and follow this tradition every January. We ask some famous names from Bollywood what their resolutions for 2014 are.

I want to be fit: Shah Rukh Khan
“Last year, I found so many excuses to be unfit. About two months ago I started to hate myself because I am so weak and I am so prone to give into my weaknesses. So now, I want to work really hard for the next five-six months… I want to have a body structure that I have never had before. I really want to do it."

Work hard the whole year: Arjun Kapoor
“I don’t believe in making New Year resolutions. Do din ke baad sab ke sab toot jaate hai (two days later, all of them break anyway). So my mantra is to work hard the whole year. Even if I am making a resolution, I am too private a person to discuss it openly. I would rather keep it to myself. But I am as excited about 2014 as everyone else.”

I will be nicer to people: Farah Khan
"I’ve stopped making New Year resolutions because it becomes difficult to live up to them after five days (laughs). But if pushed against the wall, I will say that my resolution is to make a good film. On a serious note, I have decided that — although I am already nice to people — I will be nicer to them in 2014. In fact, I will be so nice to them that they will die of shock (laughs)."

No resolutions for me: Aditya Roy Kapur
"I don’t believe in making New Year resolutions."

I want to be more successful: Richa Chadda
"There is a Japanese philosophy called Kaizen, which means to change for the best. My New Year resolution is to aim at improving each day. I want to be better in every field like work, fitness, mental health and relationships. I also want to achieve more success and have resolved to achieve it with all my sincerity."

Trying to be a vegetarian: Ayushmann Khurrana
"Most of the new and young actors have a strict and disciplined lifestyle. So, in our case, resolutions are made every day. As far as I am concerned, I am trying to be a vegetarian since a long time. In 2014, I will try to implement it more seriously.”
