In her Bollywood career of four years, Sonakshi Sinha has had three-four releases every year. Now, the actor, who calls herself a workaholic, has decided to slow down. Ask her about her line-up for the next year and she says that she has taken up only one project.
“Next year onwards, I think I’ll be taking up different genres. I’m doing an action film with (director) AR Murugadoss. He has struck a nice balance between good and commercial content, so I’m looking forward to working with him again after Holiday,” says the actor.
Sonakshi admits that doing multiple films a year has taken a toll on her, so she’s going to take it easy from now. She explains, “I like working, so I’ll plan my projects in a way that when one film ends, I start another. I don’t want them to overlap anymore. After Murugadoss’s film, I’ll wait for an offer in another genre to come along rather than do the same thing again.”
Sonakshi’s date dilemma
Next week, Sonakshi Sinha will start promoting her upcoming film with Arjun Kapoor. However, her dates had to be reshuffled at the last minute, to fit in promotions for another project.
An insider says, “Sonakshi had given her dates for promotions with Arjun, but suddenly, there was a requirement from the makers of her south film that co-stars Rajinikanth. The initial plan was not to promote it extensively, but their plans changed and Sonakshi needed to give them some time too. So, she pushed the promotions of her film with Arjun by a day.”
According to the source, Sonakshi has been unwell for some time, but she adjusted the dates and is going ahead with both the films' promotional activities.
