Riya Sen, who got married to her boyfriend Shivam Tewari recently, has been in news for quite some time now for her upcoming web series Ragini MMS Returns. Riya reportedly pulled down the pants of her co-star Nishant Malkani while shooting a sequence for the web series, and even gave an interview saying that women would love him more for this. Many slammed Riya for her “insensitivity”. A website also reported that Nishant was sexually harassed by Riya, and that she embarrassed him. But Nishant has negated the report.

According to Nishant, both he and Riya were just improvising while shooting for the web series. “We were shooting a bedroom sequence where we had to get intimate. In the bid to make it as real as possible we were both improvising. Riya pulled my track pants down, and that too just a bit,” he told DNA.

Nishant also added that reports of Riya sexually harassing him came as a shock to him. “I was stunned with all the reports of Riya sexually harassing me. For God’s sake, I would know if I was sexually harassed. And I am man enough to own up to it if it happened. It is ridiculous to even suggest that Riya took advantage of me. If she pulled my pants down she did it for the scene. I am okay with it. She’s okay with it. Her husband is okay with it. Then who are these people shouting about sexual harassment?” he told the newspaper.

The actor is of the opinion that people should think twice before calling something sexual violation as “sexual harassment is a very serious matter” and one should not trivialise or sensationalise it. “Man or woman, it is equally important to come forward if you are sexually harassed. And I don’t think my mardaangi would be challenged if I owned up to being harassed,” added Nishant, who has done TV shows such as Sasural Genda Phool, Ram Milaayi Jodi and Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani.
