While shooting for the film, Dekh Indian Circus, the actor, whose character belongs to the Rabari community of Rajasthan in the film, was sporting a turban and traditional outfit. A staff member at the lunch table could not identify Nawazuddin and refused to give him lunch.

“I was dressed in my character, wearing dhoti-kurta and jewellery just to get the feel of the character. I looked so convincing that at the lunch table the staff member thought that I was a local villager. He pushed me off and refused to serve me food,” says Nawazuddin.

However, instead of taking offense, Nawazuddin, on the contrary, is glad that his look was convincing enough. “In a normal situation, such incidents may make the stars angry, but I was happy that my character managed to look convinving,” says Nawazuddin.
