No Mahabharata for SRK
Shah Rukh Khan, who had expressed his desire to make a film based on the Mahabharata, focusing on the story of Karna, has dropped the idea after he learnt that producer/director Rajkumar Santoshi is making a similar film.

Shah Rukh Khan, who had expressed his desire to make a film based on the Mahabharata, focusing on the story of Karna, has dropped the idea after he learnt that producer/director Rajkumar Santoshi is making a similar film.
“I wanted to make a modern-day Mahabharata but I was on a flight and read that Raj ji (Rajkumar Santoshi) is also making it. So I dropped the idea,” SRK said.
