Deepika Padukone reacts to the grand success of Padmaavat.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period drama Padmaavat has entered Rs 200 crore club and actor Deepika Padukone is brimming with pride over the film’s success. However, she has said the number game does not matter to her.

“The journey of Padmaavat has been nothing short of incredible. While numbers never mattered to me. But at this moment I feel proud as an artist and as an individual. There could be no better reward than having surpassed my previous highs,” Deepika said in a statement.

“I think for me, Ranveer’s contribution in the film as well as Shahid’s contribution, is something that I will always cherish. I think it was very gracious of them to give so much to this film and I am so happy that together we get to celebrate the success but like I said, it’s not over as in the weekend more people will go to watch our film. “To be really honest, I think there hasn’t been any time to celebrate the success because there is so much happening right now. Of course, it is the time for celebration,” she added.
Padmavaat, that also features Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in pivotal roles, has broken the record of Deepika’s own film Chennai Express and raked in Rs 236 crore at the box office till February 8 in India.
Deepika will be seen next in Vishal Bhardwaj’s film alongside Irrfan Khan.
