Political leaders and prominent citizens from other walks of life joined the Bollywood fraternity in expressing rich tributes to veteran actor Sadashiv Amrapurkar who died on Monday morning.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his condolences on Twitter. His tweet read "We will remember Sadashiv Amrapurkar as a versatile actor, popular across generations. RIP. My deepest condolences to his family".
Bollywood celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan and senior journalist Rajdeep Sardesai also took to Twitter to express their grief:
