Anees Bazmee's dream to cast Poonam Dhillon as Salman Khan's mother in his upcoming movie Ready has been shattered.



When Bazmee approached Dhillon, she rejected the offer. "Maybe Poonamji didn't want to play mother. But it's okay. Moreover, I think that she had some date issues too," Bazmee told Mumbai Mirror.

Buzz is that not only Bazmee, but Salman Khan was also bewildered after Poonam said no. "It is not a very good feeling, if you don't get your cast as per your plan, but Bazmee and Salman have taken it in their stride," a source told the tabloid.



The duo have not wasted much time sulking over the rejection and have instead approached Ashok Kumar's granddaughter, Anuradha Patel, to come on board, reported the tabloid.



However, Poonam has a different story to tell. "Bazmee did contact me for a role in a film, which he was doing with Harman Baweja and I wasn't happy with that role."



Poonam's loss is Anuradha's gain!
