Prakash Jha's Satyagraha collects Rs 24.29 crore in two days

Satyagraha collected Rs 13.08 crore on Saturday, rising a few notches above the opening day earning of Rs 11.21 core. Interestingly, Prakash Jha’s political thriller is running house-full in Patna cinema halls.

Prakash Jha’s political thriller Satyagraha is building up at the ticket windows with a good word of mouth. The multi-starrer has collected Rs 24.29 crore in two days.

Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Arjun Rampal, Manoj Bajpai, Kareena Kapoor and Amrita Rao-starrer Satyagraha opened with Rs 11.21 crore earnings. The collections rose to Rs 13.08 crore on Saturday, thanks to publicity.

Satyagraha has made by far Prakash Jha’s biggest opening.

The multi-starrer is also doing decent business overseas. The film has collected A$ 62,378 in Australia, £ 41,932 in UK on Saturday. Pakistan collections for the movie were $ 35,000 on Friday.

Interestingly, Satyagraha is doing wonderful business at Patna ticket windows. The film is running houseful at Regent, one of the most popular cinema hall in the capital city of Bihar.

Satyagraha opened in approximately 2400-2500 screens across India.
