Sometime back, actor Shahid Kapoor and wife Mira confirmed that they were expecting their second child together. They put up a picture of their daughter Misha lying with a bunch of balloons drawn on the floor and ‘Big Sister’ written beside her.

However, pregnancy, it seems, is taking its toll on Mira. In an Instagram story she put up on Tuesday, Mira revealed how she was in a weird phase at the moment. She wrote: “That weird phase when your jeans don’t fit and Maternity jeans are too big.”

Mira, who is in her second trimester, is finding it odd as her regular jeans aren’t fitting anymore and the maternity jeans are way too big for her. Mood swings, morning sickness, a fuller body -- pregnancy can be intimidating for many women.

Meanwhile, the doting husband Shahid is ensuring that Mira remains in a happy frame of mind. The lovely couple was spotted in Bandra, Mumbai. Wearing a black knee-length dress, with red and white prints and a high pony tail, Mira looked relaxed with her baby bump clearly visible now. On some pictures, Shahid and Mira can be seen walking out hand in hand, while in another Shahid assists her as she gets into the car.

Sometime last year, Mira had stoked a controversy when she spoke about why she didn’t want to be a working mother and how her child wasn’t a puppy. She had said, “... I love being at home, I love being a mother to my child, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I wouldn’t want to spend one hour a day with my child and rush off to work. Why did I have her? She is not a puppy, you know. I want to be there for her as a mother, seeing her grow up has, cannot be quantified.”

The comment was criticised with many women commenting that just because they were away at work, it didn’t mean that they cared for their children any less.
