While he already has Aamir’s son, Junaid, working as an assistant director, Hirani is also being flooded with requests by aspiring directors.

“He is receiving a number of e-mails from students of different media schools requesting him to let them assist him in the film,” says a source close to Hirani.

The director is not sure about how he will deal with this deluge of requests as his film is in the last phase of shooting.

“Hirani has completed one schedule and will resume the next part soon. He is reading the mail, but he’s not sure how to fit in a new crew member at this time, when he is so close to completing the film,” says the source.

Hirani remained unavailable for comment, but his spokesperson confirms this development, saying, “We have been receiving a lot of requests from young media students. We’re currently prepping for the next schedule of the shoot, for which we are trying to figure out how to assign new assistants.”
