Rajkummar Rao stays in character even after shooting is complete

Rajkummar Rao has impressed the directors of both his upcoming movies with his ability to stay in character even after a film has been wrapped up.

National Award-winning actor Rajkummar Rao takes his job very seriously. As a rule, the actor maintains the physical attributes of his character for many days even after the film has been shot.

For instance, he had grown a beard to achieve a fierce look for director Hansal Mehta’s next film. He continued sporting that look for almost 10 days after the film was shot. “He keeps his look, so, in case the director wants to reshoot a few scenes or do some patchwork, he or she can easily do so. He waits till he gets the final go-ahead from the filmmaker he is working with,” says a source.

Apparently, Rajkummar did the same when he was working with Vikramaditya Motwane as well. He had lost a considerable amount of weight for Vikramaditya’s film, and he made sure he maintained his physique even after the shoot was over.

“This dedication has really impressed both these directors,” reveals the insider. While the actor remained unavailable for a comment, his spokesperson confirmed the news, saying, “Rajkummar leaves no stone unturned when it comes to looking the part. He prefers maintaining the character’s look till he gets the final go-ahead from his director.”
