Back in the day, actors were known to be highly secretive about their plans to get married. But the new generation is more intrepid. Of late, a number of young Bollywood actors have been vocal about their opinions on tying the knot.

The latest in that regard is Ranbir Kapoor, who recently announced his marriage to Katrina Kaif, in an interview to a magazine, putting months of speculation to rest. He was quoted saying, "I’m thinking of getting married towards the end of next year. Till now, that’s the plan for me and her."

Shahid Kapoor, too, confirmed his marriage plans at HT Mumbai’s Most Stylish in March. Sushant Singh Rajput revealed that, next year, he will tie the knot with girlfriend Ankita Lokhande. Others like Varun Dhawan, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Kangana Ranaut have not made any formal announcements, but they have openly shared their views on the subject.

Kangana Ranaut

Last month, while speaking about marriage, the National Award-winning actor made it clear that she felt she was too young to settle down. Kangana also said that "working girls shouldn’t get married before 35". While speaking to HT, she said, "It is almost next to impossible for me to marry someone from this industry. I don’t have any concrete plans for marriage right now because my films are my priority."

Varun Dhawan

On his birthday (April 24), when we asked Varun what his wedding plans were, he said, "Not this year for sure. Let us see what state of mind I am in next year. I am trying to take each day as it comes. My priority right now is to work and entertain people."

Shahid Kapoor

Shahid shocked his female fans in March when he announced his upcoming wedding to Delhi girl Mira Rajput. Rumours claim that the wedding ceremony is set to take place in Greece this year. "Engagement hasn’t happened, but marriage is on the cards at the end of the year… she’s just a regular girl, and I am a regular guy… I am very happy," Shahid had said to us.

Deepika Padukone

In a recent interview to a film magazine, Deepika spoke about wanting a "stable marriage" and "lots of babies". "On the personal front, I see myself hopefully in a happy and stable marriage, which is such a rare thing nowadays. I see myself having lots of babies because I simply love kids," she had said.

Ranveer Singh

Ranveer Singh, who is believed to be in a relationship with Deepika Padukone, told HT Café that he has "started thinking about tying the knot". "I’ll be 30 very soon. So, one should definitely start thinking about such things. Maybe it is not the time to act on it right away, but surely it is time for me to think about it," he said.

Sushant Singh Rajput

The actor, who has been in a relationship with girlfriend Ankita Lokhande for seven years, was recently quoted as saying that they plan to get married in 2016. "I will need a month off for that, and I am going to make sure I take that month off at the beginning of next year. It is a promise I have made to Ankita and to myself," he had said.
