Rang Rasiya, a film by an indian independent cinema’s groundbreaking director Ketan Mehta won the Audience Award at the 2nd London Indian Film Festival.

Indian independent cinema’s groundbreaking director Ketan Mehta’s Rang Rasiya won the Audience Award at the 2nd London Indian Film Festival on July 14. Audiences voted for their favorite films across 28 screenings during the festival. Overwhelmed by the response, Mehta says, “It is an honor to represent my country here. The feeling of being appreciated in another country among so many people is priceless. London Indian Film Festival that showcases Indian independent cinema is an exciting and timely initiative.” The festival opened with the world premiere of Abhinay Deo’s Delhi Belly, produced by Aamir Khan Productions and UTV Motion Pictures and closed with the UK premiere of Srijit Mukherji’s hit film Autograph.
