Raveena Tandon to play Niira Radia

Raveena Tandon, who made her comeback with Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap recently, will now be essaying the role of corporate lobbyist Niira Radia in Sojan Joseph’s Alert, also starring Sanjay Dutt.

Many details from the infamous lobbyist's life are incorporated in the story line. "Raveena plays a glamorous, sexy, high-profile lobbyist, who befriends the most powerful politicians and industrialists and even gets embroiled in a phone-tapping scam," a source told Mumbai Mirror.

Sources suggest that the filmmakers have intentionally avoided naming Raveena's character Niira Radia.



Raveena doesn't think that Radia is responsible for the 2G spectrum scam. "Raveena thinks Radia is a victim of the system and did not do any wrong knowingly. But at the same time, Raveena doesn’t want to play Radia as a victim," added the source.



The actor wants to keep mum about her role, "I am not saying anything. Watch the film. You’ll know."
