Salman Khan drives a tuk tuk for upcomung film Ready.

Salman Khan recently shot some high-voltage action sequences driving a tuk tuk in the narrow streets of Pattaya, Thailand, for his upcoming film Ready. The Dabangg actor, known for adding that extra ‘zing’ to his films, came up with the idea of shooting an action sequence in Thailand’s famous tuk tuks.

Subsequently, an action scene was written and shot, showing two tuk-tuks blowing up and the actor jumping into another one and driving off. Obviously, the producers had to buy three tuk tuks specially for this scene, since the vehicles would be heavily damaged in the course of the shoot. But producers Bhushan Kumar and Rajat Rawail happily obliged. “It was Bhai’s idea to shoot with tuk-tuks. He wanted to shoot an action sequence nobody has done before. Such high-voltage action scene will be seen for the first time on big screen. People will enjoy this unique Thai action,” says Bhushan Kumar.

An insider adds, “Salman drove the tuk-tuk expertly, even though it was his first time doing so.” Ready is slated to release on June 3.
