Salman Khan, who is currently in Malta for his upcoming film Bharat, tweeted on Tuesday to condole the death of late prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and about the devastation caused by heavy rains in Kerala.

He wrote: “Truly a sad feeing to have lost a great leader, noble politician, orator and an exceptional human being like Atal ji .”

Vajpayee died on August 16, aged 93. He was admitted at Delhi’s AIIMS hospital since June this year. However, his health deteriorated and he was put on life support systems.

Salman also expressed his grief at the loss of life in the devastating Kerala floods. He wrote: “Still deeply saddened by the calamity that has hit Kerala, my heart goes out to all who have suffered a loss and very happy to hear all the souls who have gone back to help out the victims.”

Salman, meanwhile, is busy shooting for Bharat. The film’s team seems to be in a work-cum-fun mood. They have been posting pictures and videos from the sets much to the delight of their fans. Apart from Salman, the film’s lead actor, director Ali Abbas Zafar and co-producer Atul Agnihotri too have posted pics on their respective Instagram pages. Latest entrant into the club is the film’s lead female actor, Katrina Kaif.

Late on Monday, Katrina had shared a stunning photo of herself from the sets in Malta. As always, her no-fuss picture was beautiful, the most noticeable thing were her curls as they gently wrapped her face.

Salman too has been sharing pictures and videos, his most recent being one where he is helping his mother, Salma climb a flight of stairs.

Sharing it, Salman wrote: “Yeh bandhan toh .. pyaar ka bandhan hai #Bharat.”
