Salman to host a special screening of PRDP for Bhagyashree, Madhuri

Salman Khan came to limelight with 1989 film Maine Pyar Kiya. Bhagyashree was his leading lady in the film.

Salman Khan, whose upcoming film will see him in a romantic avatar, has decided to host a special screening for two of his earlier heroines — Bhagyashree and Madhuri Dixit-Nene. The two actresses have shared screen space with him in some of his earliest romantic blockbusters. While Salman and Madhuri worked together in Saajan (1991) and Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! (HAHK; 1994), the actor was seen with Bhagyashree in his first hit, Maine Pyar Kiya (MPK; 1989).

“The idea came up during a discussion (involving his latest film’s marketing team), which Salman was also part of. Since his character is called Prem, once again in his next (he was also called Prem in HAHK and MPK, among others), Salman wants to show the film to both the actresses with whom he has shared screen space in the past as Prem,” says an insider.

However, no date has been fixed yet for the screening, as Salman is busy with the shoot of another film (directed by Ali Abbas Zafar). But whenever he does get the time, Salman will personally invite Madhuri and Bhagyashree for the screening. “Since they worked with Salman at the beginning of his career, he shares fond memories with them,” adds the insider.

While Salman couldn’t be reached for a comment, the film’s spokesperson confirmed the news.
