A usual government affair turned starry this weekend when Bollywood celebs dawned upon the stage and performed during the celebrations of the International Customs Day in Mumbai. While Shah Rukh Khan was at his wittiest best, the event also saw Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh, among several others performing at the stage.

When the crowd cheered, ‘Raees!’ as SRK graced the stage, the actor was quick to clarify, “Mai sirf ek baat bolna chahta hu, wo film me character tha ek to custom wale mujhe serious na lein kabhi as Raees. Wo smuggler type tha, mujhe lagta hai bilkul accha nahi tha. Aur jab mai dadhi karta hun tab aisa hota hu, aisa mai hoon nahi. (I just want to clarify that was a character and the customs’ officers must not consider me the smuggler that Raees was. I think it is bad that he - Raees - was a smuggler and I am not one. I only look like one when I have my beard.)

The star then went on to mouth a dialogue from the 2017 film.
