Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan has once again stamped his authority over the box-office with the mega success of Happy New Year. But, this is not the only reason for him being in the news. Recently, rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh's wife spoke in the media that 'Why would SRK slap Honey Singh'? It was a very innocent statement but it also originated some seeds of doubt in the minds of the readers. Why would anybody clarify about an incident which didn't even happen? But then Shalini Singh, Honey Singh's wife, was asked a direct question which she had to answer. Apparently, Honey Singh is not well to answer media queries, but this incident also forces us to take a look at Shah Rukh's record of spats in the past.

The battle of the Khans

At one point it became the question that the entire nation wanted to know. What exactly happened at Katrina Kaif's party where the two Khans indulged in an ugly verbal war? The two 'good' friends separated their ways after this incident for many years before hugging each other at Baba Siddique's Iftar party. However, this didn't close the chapter which keeps rearing its head everytime one of them faces questions from the journalists.

The infamous Sanjay Dutt party

Shah Rukh Khan has some weird connection with parties. Everytime he steps into one, people start expecting some fireworks. It was 2012 and Shah Rukh was still not over the failure of his hugely ambitious project Ra.One. Shirish Kunder, the director of films such as Joker and Jaan-E-Mann and the husband of SRK's thick friend Farah Khan, started following him in the party. He allegedly kept taunting about the Ra.One debacle till Khan lost his temper. He then pinned Kunder to the sofa and punched him. This incident immediately made headlines and Shirish Kunder presented his side through Twitter while the other party kept quiet. Farah Khan had already made a film with Akshay Kumar which proved to be a box-office disaster. Her friendship with Shah Rukh Khan was said to be strained at that time and the slapping incident only enhanced the tension in the air. However, she later took the initiative and the two parties called it a truce.

The Wankhede brawl

Probably it was a brawl the Bollywood star should not have picked. It sent a wrong message despite the actor's great PR work to clean up his image. Interestingly, SRK never disowned the event but he always had a different side to explain. The owner of IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders was denied entry inside the playing area by security personnel when his team won a match against Mumbai Indians. It made him angry and he got into a controversial fight with the guard. The image in which the guard is whistling and SRK is screaming has become iconic by now.

Even his initial interviews suggest that SRK was always a person who couldn't boast of a great patience. His statements in media about competition with Amitabh Bachchan made headlines in the '90s. He was also said to be unhappy with Kajol and Ajay Devgn during the Diwali clash of Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Son of Sardaar. However, it was never confirmed. So, every now and then he remains in news for his volatile temperament, of course, apart from the films which rewrite history at the box-office.
