Short film on Karma in the pipeline

Hemwant Tiwari, whose Zindagi Bahut Khoobsoorat Hai, was screened at Cannes this year, will play lead role.

Himanshu, currently working as a producer for entertainment shows on a news channel, is working on a short film that showcases Karma through the lives of two people.

Himanshu has cast Hemwant Tiwari, whose Zindagi Bahut Khoobsoorat Hai, was screened at Cannes this year, for the lead role in his short film.

The 4-5 day long shoot is scheduled to begin in late December, 2013.

The director said, “The film is about Karma. Two decent people try to take the wrong path. They have never done anything wrong in their lives. The movie traces the journey and explores whether they succeed.”

Himanshu assisted Sujoy Ghosh as a video editor.

Talking about the yet-unnamed short film, Himanshu said, “It is for festival. But there is a notion among Bollywood people and the audience that a tag festivals is attached with boredom. Even Anurag Kashyap’s commercial films are not publicised with the tag of festivals.”
