Soha Ali Khan is all set to do Shivaji Patil's next film which is set in the backdrop of October 1984, Delhi. Soha says the movie has a powerful story.

Actor Soha Ali Khan will be a part of a film on the 1984 riots in Delhi.

On Saturday morning, the actor tweeted, "My next film is set in Delhi on October 31st 1984 and is a powerful story directed by national award winner, Shivaji Patil. (sic)"



In response to tweets from her followers, some who asked her to depict the real picture, and others who asked her why the makers were raking up the issue,

the actor

wrote, "An actor plays a role, a character onscreen – sometimes real sometimes fictional – it does not reflect their personal opinion or view."



When a follower tweeted to her that the film should not create any violence in India, she tweeted, "The aim is only peace and justice."



When another follower tweeted that the riots have been in the news, she tweeted, "Yes that is why we feel it is the right time."



The 35-year-old actor was last seen in

Mr Joe B. Carvalho

, which released earlier this year.
