Sonam cuts short her holiday for work commitments

Sonam Kapoor has been in party mood since the last week of December. The actor flew to Dubai to celebrate her father Anil Kapoor’s ­birthday (December 24) and stayed there for Christmas as well.

Sonam Kapoor has been in party mood since the last week of December. The actor flew to Dubai to celebrate her father Anil Kapoor’s ­birthday (December 24) and stayed there for Christmas as well. She then returned to Mumbai briefly for an ad film shoot, before flying to Paris, France, to usher in the new year. And even though Sonam was ­scheduled to stay in Paris for a while, she cut her ­holiday short to honour her work commitments.

“Sonam had made a week-long plan with her friends to celebrate the new year in Paris. She was ­supposed to come back by January 7, but after a ­discussion with Arbaaz Khan ­(producer of her next), she decided to return on January 2,” says a source close to the actor.

Sonam confirms the development, saying, “I came back early from my holiday as I needed to start working on the ­promotional campaign (of my next).” She will now participate in the strategy meetings for the film’s ­promotion.

The actor had missed out on planning the promotions of her last release, Khoobsurat (2014). “Rhea Kapoor (Sonam’s sister and the producer of the film), took care of the entire ­campaign. So, this time, she wanted to be part of the planning,” says the source.
