A source close to the Abbas-Mustan film reveals that the makers were initially racking their brains to find the right actor for the part. “With Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandez already being part of the film, they need someone who would suit the role as well as fit into this multi-star cast. Thanks to Sonam, Ameesha’s name was brought up and she was offered the role. Sonam felt Ameesha looked good and had maintained herself well over the years, so she was perfect for the part.”

Anil Kapoor confirms the news saying, “Sonam suggested Ameesha’s name when we were thinking of whom to cast. Ameesha has maintained herself really well and so I called Rameshji (Taurani, producer) immediately and it was taken further.”
