Other than Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, Suniel Shetty and Manoj Bajpai, principle secretary (home), superintendent of police, Gwalior, town inspector of Inderganj police station and three distilleries were issued notices.

The high court's decision came after hearing a petition filed by a lawyer, Avdhesh Bhadoria. The petitioner accused the state police of not registering a complaint against the actors and the liquor manufacturing companies.

The single bench of justice DK Paliwal asked all who were issued notices to submit their replies within four weeks.
