SRK, Salman not to work together in Aditya Chopra's next
Rumours never ebb in Bollywood. First there was one that made us believe the coming together of two of Bollywood's biggest Khans -- Shah Rukh and Salman -- in Aditya Chopra's next directorial venture. Needless to say, we were excited. Then there was a twist to the story: That Adi replaced Ranveer Singh, his original choice, with Salman Khan, for the role.
Mumbai tabloid Mid-Day even ran a story on it, quoting a source: "It is the same film for which Ranveer Singh was earlier being considered. Adi felt that the Shah Rukh-Salman combo would work wonders at the box-office and so, decided to sign Salman instead of Ranveer. Shah Rukh has already given his nod to him."
But now everything seems to be coming crashing down. A source close to Shah Rukh Khan tells us that he’s rubbished all these stories as "totally baseless".
We don’t know yet if there will be a casting coup to this film. What we know, however, is that the film will be a romantic thriller, and is likely to go on floors by the end of next year.
Meanwhile, both Khans are set for a clash on
when Shah Rukh Khan's Raees and Salman Khan's Sultan will hit theatres. It will be the first time that SRK and Salman will have films releasing on the same day.
