Actor Taapsee Pannu says that she would never ever turn down a project because of a co-star.

Actor Taapsee Pannu is fuming over the reports suggesting that she refused to work with actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui for an upcoming film. Rubbishing the buzz, she asserts that she is not that kind of a person, and the reports are nothing but false assumptions.

“There are many projects that come an actor’s way and one cannot say yes to all of them. Reasons of saying no vary all the time, but for me, it has never been on the pretext of not wanting to work with ‘a particular actor’ ever! I would never do that,” says Taapsee, who will star alongside Abhishek Bachchan in Manmarziyaan, and will share the screen with Rishi Kapoor in Mulk.

According to some reports, casting director Honey Trehan was keen to cast Nawaz and Taapsee in his directorial debut, which is said to be a crime thriller, but there was opposition from Taapsee on being paired with the said actor.

A report in DNA quoted a source as saying, “Honey and Taapsee were in talks for the murder mystery, but the actress didn’t like the project. Apparently, she wasn’t too keen on being paired with Nawaz in the film.”

Taapsee reacts, “I’m always grateful to the people who reach out to me for their film, especially Honey, who trusted me with his debut venture. And with the respect I have for a talent like Nawaz, I really wish we work together in future because unfortunately this couldn’t work out.”
