Tannishtha to star in Sunny Deol romcom

“You can call it my first ‘typical’ Bollywood film,” says the actor with a laugh, adding, “But like all my films, my role in this one will be very different from the usual fare. That’s why I accepted the offer.” Ask Tannishtha about her action hero co-star and she says, “Sunny is one of the best human beings I have ever met. He was very cordial and friendly on the sets.”

Directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, makers of the Salman Khan flick, Lucky: No Time For Love (2005), the film was initially titled Happy New Year. Later they were forced to change the title since the rights belong to actor Shah Rukh Khan. Tannishtha, on her part, has just wrapped up work on Joe Wright’s Anna Karenina, starring Jude Law and Keira Knightley.
