Actor Vidya Balan, who has been making public appearances with a fake baby bump to promote her forthcoming release, Kahaani, considers it a dress rehearsal for the future.

Actor Vidya Balan, who has been making public appearances with a fake baby bump to promote her forthcoming release, Kahaani, considers it a dress rehearsal for the future. “I now know what to wear when I plan to start a family. It’s as good as a dress rehearsal for me,” she says.

The fake baby bump that the actor is sporting in the film and for the promotions is a temporary portable stomach made of rubber weighing about 2kg.

The actor says that it not only gives her the pregnant look but also the weight and gait of a pregnant lady.

“After literally living in this attire for two months during the shoot, I’ve almost started sitting and walking like a real pregnant woman, and sometimes during the promotions,people even mistakenly offer me a chair, thinking that I am actually pregnant!” adds the 34-year-old.

The dress rehearsal may be on, but Vidya firmly rules out any marriage plans in the near future.

Is it because she wants to enjoy her courtship period with boyfriend, UTV head Siddharth Roy Kapur? “Where’s the time? she says, referring to her busy schedule.
