Stand-up comedian and actor Vir Das has come up with his new music video and it has no rhythm, rhyme or tune, but makes a topical comment on how India largely looks at consent.

Stand-up comedian and actor Vir Das has come up with a new music video and it has no sense rhythm, rhyme or tune. In fact, at times, it reminds us of several songs from Bollywood of the 90s. However, the music video is a timely comment on how the Indian society looks at consent.

Titled No Means No, the video says what Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Pink and Swara Bhaskar’s Anarkali of Aarah did. It is dedicated to the women of India who have to deal with boorish behaviour from a majority of men. Made in collaboration with Das’ band ‘AlienChutney’, it mentions everything from marital rape to whether women have the freedom to choose.
