Pakistani singer Adnan Sami is back, and how! Sami's new song, Sweeta for the forthcoming Ranveer Singh film Kill Dil was released on Wednesday and it is already climbing the popularity charts. Penned by veteran lyricist Gulzar, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy have composed the music for it.

The song stars at a very interesting note where Ranveer Singh introduces it like old days radio announcers. He, in fact, refers to Shaad Ali and his filmography initially and then goes on to introduce the premise of the song.

Picturised in Delhi, Ranveer Singh is wearing a dhoti and the frames suggest that he is playing a middle class guy in Kill Dil. He has been seen in various attires in the song which gives a hint towards his characterisation in the film.







As usual, Gulzar’s lyrics are simple yet powerful. He has used words such as chocolate and Rooh Afza to convey the meaning of Sweeta. Basically, he explains the pain of love as something which is extremely sweet.



Kill Dil is slated to hit the screens on November 14.
