The first trailer of Ayushmann Khurrana-Pallavi Sharda-starrer Hawaizaada is out. Directed by debutante director Vibhu Puri, the film is based on the life of Marathi scientist Shivkar Talpade, credited to have constructed and flown India’s first plane in 1895.
Ayushmann plays a passionate scientist who wants the first plane to be flown by an Indian. Mithun Chakraborty, who plays an important role in the film, looks interesting in the trailer: He is seen training and motivating Ayushmann in his quest.
There are too many cliches in the trailer: From forced partriotism (Ayushmann says, " Mai jab jahaaz banaunga, usase bus ek awaz nikalegi -Vande Mataram!) to cliched romance (the trailer ends with Pallavi saying, " Pyaar mein pada aadmi aksar apni aukaat se zyada badaa kaam kar jaata hai"); there's everything to ensure an average Bollywood fan loves it. Talking about Hawaizaada, Ayushmann had earlier said, "There are some films you do to satisfy your soul, not your stomach. Hawaizaada is one such film. I have given a year to the film; have given a part of myself, without expecting anything in return. I would have rather paid to do such a beautiful film." Did you like the trailer?
