There is a reason why Shah Rukh Khan is called Bollywood’s ‘badshah’ of romance. His latest song from director Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale, Janam janam, which was released on Thursday, only helps him entrench his position in the industry even more.

First impressions first. Janam janam looks eerily similar to that iconic Raj Kapur-Nargis classic, ‘pyaar hua, ikraar hua’ from Shri 420. In its 2015 avatar-of-sorts, SRK and Kajol have taken a cliched but no less blockbuster route to romance: We have flying umbrellas and vintage cars forming a beautiful backdrop to the hottest pair Bollywood can boast of currently.

Janam janam has been composed by Pritam, and Arijit Singh and Antara Mitra have lent their voices to it. The film, which also stars Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, is scheduled to hit the screens on December 18.
