When Shraddha got emotional for winning award for singing
After featuring in hits like Haider and Ek Villain, actor Shraddha Kapoor has another feather in her cap.
The 25-year-old, who had crooned the unplugged version of the song Galliyan from Ek Villain, got a pleasant surprise recently in the form of an award for her rendition of the number that had gone on to become one of the biggest chartbusters of last year. A source close to Shraddha says that she became very emotional when her name was announced on stage as the winner.
“Shradhha was very moved and got extremely emotional as she went up the stage to receive the award. She dedicated the award to her mother who was sitting in the audience,” says the source close to the actor, who also sang a Kashmiri folk song in Haider. “It’s a very special recognition for Shraddha, as she comes from a musical family and they are extremely proud of her.”
Her grandfather, Pandharinath Kolhapure, is a renowned classical singer and is the cousin of singers Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle.
