Hrithik Roshan, who is working on his next with Kaabil, has reportedly mimicked Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan for the Sanjay Gupta-directed film. According to reports, the Krrish star plays a dubbing artist in the movie set to release early next year.
Hrithik plays Rohan Bhatnagar, a blind man who lives a normal life is a dubbing artist, a DNA report said. “Hrithik and sound designer Resul decided to take up the challenge of making Hrithik do the voice impersonations himself. It’s worked wonderfully,” the newspaper quoted a source as saying.
The report also quoted 42-year-old Hrithik as saying, “I guess this is just a reflection of the kind of impact Mr Bachchan has had on my generation, and of course, the fact that hard work equals results.”
The source further told DNA, “When Hrithik did a voice imitation of Big B, he was so uncannily close to the original that everyone on the sets assumed that sound designer Resul Pookutty had somehow engineered the voice-over.”
Hindustan Times could not independently verify the report.
Sanjay Gupta’s Kaabil, releasing on January 26, is scheduled to clash with Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Raees.
