In one of her interviews, Kangana, who got success with Queen (2014) and Tanu Weds Manu Returns, had said that no other actress could replace her in these projects. Divya tweeted that interview and wrote, “Did she really say that? Only one gets the opportunity to get the right thing at the right time. Be grateful coz there’s a lot of talent around (sic).”

“Kangana is one actor I am very fond of. She has finally got her due, and all I meant was that she’s been working hard all these years and she has got couple of really good projects. I think there is a lot of talent around and people await the opportunity and projects like these,” says Divya, adding, “I don’t know why such a hue and cry is made about this. I am really fond of actors like Kangana and Deepika (Padukone). It’s just that something came genuinely to my mind and I felt like saying it impromptu. I’m very happy seeing my fellow actors getting their due.”

Does this mean Twitterati twisted her statement? “No, No. I’m happy with it all and have no complaints. These are certain things that we should take with a pinch of salt. I thoroughly enjoy the social platform,” she says. Last seen in Badlapur (2015), the actor will soon be seen in Subhash Singh’s film, and will be sharing screen space with actors Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi in another film. The 37-year-old is very happy with the kind of projects she is getting. “I am very happy with the kind of films that are coming my way. I am also doing Nitin Kakkar’s next, and I am very excited for that as there has been a lot of unlearning that is done on the sets,” she says.
