John Abraham, who has never crossed paths with his ex-flame and actor Bipasha Basu after they broke up in February this year, is coincidentally working with her in
Abbas-Mastan’s second instalment of Race. But the model-turned-actor rubbishes all speculations that he will share space with her in the film. “I don’t have any scene with her. It’s untrue,” says John, who is among the fresh entrants to the cast of the sequel.

Unlike the original, Race 2 features actress Deepika Padukone, Ameesha Patel and Jacqueline Fernandez along with Bipasha and Saif Ali Khan from the original cast.

John is excited to be part of this franchise, and says, "I am sure it’s going to be more exciting than the original." In this ensemble cast, John-BipsJohn might escape seeing eye-to-eye with Bipasha, as she is paired opposite actor Saif Ali Khan in the film, but he might still have a chance to work with her if he signs the sequel of his debut film Jism (2008), directed by Amit Saxena.

Incidentally, rumours go that after the success of Murder 2, actor Emraan Hashmi is also a strong contender for the lead role in Jism 2. John doesn’t rule out the possibility of returning in the sequel.

“To be fair and honest, Bhatt saab is responsible for my career in this industry and he has spoken to about Jism 2. But there is no confirmation, and neither do I know anything about the script,” says John adding, “But we both are interesting in working together again.”
