After the moderate success of Apne, Deol magic has worked again! Yamla Pagla Deewana has opened well, and is especially doing good business in North India.
According to Bollywood Hungama, the film has collected approx. Rs. 22.8 cr nett in Weekend 1. The film had relatively less expectations, as Deols as well as director Samir Karnik haven't had a huge success in the recent past.
Like Singh Is Kinng, the film is doing excellent business in North India, especially Punjab. The film is a huge success in single screens, while multiplex business in Mumbai city and South is not much, reports Bollywood Hungama.
But it's too early to say that the film is headed towards becoming a blockbuster as the there was a dip in business on Saturday; but that can be attributed to cricket match.
