Crime fiction junkies rejoice! Ian Rankin, creator of the melancholic, heavy drinking, fags-a-puffing Inspector Rebus (now retired) is visiting Delhi. Speaking about his writing — and I hope whisky, the bloody English, Edinburgh and the Rolling Stones (a favourite) — on January 21, 7 pm at the British Council, the author of glorious books like Let It Bleed, Dead Souls and Fleshmarket Close should feel at home in Delhi’s winter chill. His new book The Complaints awaits our reading.
