Welcome to the world of comics and graphic novels that has opened its doors for people at the ongoing second annual Comic Con India.
The event, which started at Dilli Haat on Friday, is a comic lover’s heaven, with as many as 20 new titles up for grabs. Here is our pick of the 10 most exciting titles at the event.
Chronicles of Trio: Forging of the Legends
With 2D illustrations over realistic miniature sets, it is a story about three ordinary people who come together for an unusual journey. The three unlikely heroes – a teenager, a middle-aged man and a lonely writer - join hands to save the world in this simple tale of magic and the supernatural.

Sinbad, the legacy
Sinbad visits a good friend, with whom he sets off on the high seas. It is an exciting tale about how they fight all odds that they face during their journey.

Set against the backdrop of feudal Kerala, it is the story about the mysterious criminal - Odayan, who is highly inspired by Kathakali. Odayan is a martial arts epic about sin and the thirst for power and wealth.

Launched for the first time in the year 1986, this desi-version of Tintin will be re-launched during the three-day event. Set in the backdrop of Kolkata, it is a tale about Timpa and his grandfather.

Steve Jobs
Ahead of the launch of a 90-page digital graphic novel in April about the life and times of Apple founder Steve Jobs, a 30-pager was also launched at the Comic Con. The book, which captures the life of Jobs, is written by Jason Quinn. It will be available for download from February 24, which happens to be the birthday of Jobs.

Black Gold
Set in the background of Manmad, Maharashtra, Black Gold is the story of inspector Saurabh Saxena and his alter ego, which is known as Crime Fighter, who tracks down the dreaded oil mafia king in the particular area. Written in Hindi by Fenil Sherdiwala, it is an adventurous tale about Crime Fighter’s battle against the bad guys, upholding his principles and moral values.

Stupid Guy Goes to India
Written in the form of a travelogue, it is the real life story of Yukichi Yamamatsu when he visited India for the first time. It is a 2002 non-fiction manga (a Japanese word for comics) that describes Yamamatsu’s tryst and tribulations in India.

Vrica
It is an action-packed, adventurous tale of the next-gen defence protocol established to protect India from threats on both national and international scale. Written by Aniruddho Chakraborty and Katyayan Shivpuri, it is an interesting blend of political intrigue, action and superpowers.
