Aishwarya Subramanyam, the much-loved editor of Elle India till just last week, explains that Ungender is a movement that aims at breaking down society’s ideas of how men and women should behave. “Ungender is basically the acceptance of anyone on the gender spectrum – man, woman or a transgender. It is about gender equality and by that I am referring to all genders, not just man and woman,” she says.
