MUMBAI: India’s stock markets bounced back on Monday with the benchmark BSE Sensex recapturing the 28,000-mark after 11 months and the wider NSE Nifty a 15-month high on hopes that the GST Bill would be passed by Parliament. The Sensex ended the day at 28,095.34, a rise of 292.10 points or 1.05%. It’s last closing above 28K was on August 10, 2015 of 28,101.92. The Nifty rose 94.95 points or 1.11% to close at a 15-month high of 8,635.65, its highest closing since April 16, 2015, at 8,706.70. The total market valuation of the BSE-listed firms surged to an all-time high of 108 lakh crore.
