Aditya Birla Group posts a 3.35 per cent rise in cement production during April-May at 54.63 lakh tons.

Aditya Birla Group posted a 3.35 per cent rise in cement production during April-May at 54.63 lakh tons as against 52.86 lakh tons in the corresponding period last year.

Dispatches grew 4.39 per cent at 54.44 lakh tons in the same period as against 52.15 lakh tons a year-ago, the company said in a press release issued in Mumbai on Saturday.

Cement production and dispatches for May stood at 27.05 lakh tons and 27.10 lakh tons, registering a growth of 3.66 per cent and 4.75 per cent over May 2006, respectively.
