Ambani gas row: Justice Raveendran part of SC bench

A bench comprising Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan, Justice R V Raveendran and Justice P Sathasivam will hear the case, according to the apex court's cause list.

The court will hear the cross appeals filed by the companies of the two Ambani groups as also the admissibility of the government's petition to become a party in the matter.

Besides, applications by various power producers like GMR, Gautami Power, Lanco, GVK and a fertilser body to be made as parties will also come up for hearing.

The dispute relates to supply of gas to Anil Ambani group's RNRL from K-G D6 block in fields of at a rate of USD 2.34 mm.
