Berger Paints is on a capacity expansion drive by setting up a new plant at Hindupur in Andhra Pradesh, with an annual capacity of 1.5 lakh metric tonne, which will come on stream in the next one and half years.

“We already have seven plants across the country with a total capacity of 2 lakh metric tonne. Over the next five years we’ll almost double our capacity, to meet the growing demand,” said Subir Bose, MD, Berger Paints India Ltd. He said the company's focus would be on eco-friendly, volatile organic compound free, green paints like the one Breath Easy — first of its kind in India — launched here on Thursday.
