State-owned telecom major BSNL has bagged awards for the most preferred landline service provider and broadband connection provider.

The 'CNBC Awaaz Consumer Awards 2007' was given by Chief Minister of Maharashtra to BSNL CMD Kuldeep Goyal at an event on Friday, a BSNL statement said here.
The company has a fixed line subscriber base of over 4.72 crore and over 17 lakh in wireless fixed phones in urban and 38.42 lakh in rural areas. BSNL recorded a revenue of Rs 39,715 crore for the last fiscal with profit of Rs 7,805 crore.
"These awards are dedicated to our consumers. On this occasion, we want to reassure them that BSNL will strive for more and better consumer satisfaction," BSNL CMD Kuldeep Goyal said in a statement.
