CBI arrests two senior officers of BSNL, LIC for graft

Pradeep Singh Jadon, a Telecom Divisional Manager of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited at Khargone in Madhya Pradesh was caught by the CBI while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 1.20 lakh from a contractor, a CBI spokesperson said.

"The accused demanded the bribe for passing his pending bills amounting to Rs 5.10 lakh for the work already carried out by the complainant (contractor) and approval for new contract," he said.

In another case, P L Bhor, Branch Manager of LIC at Damoh Branch in Madhya Pradesh was arrested by CBI detectives while he was allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 from a complainant for sanctioning the death claim of his (complainant's) brother's LIC policies, the official said.
