Fortis Healthcare profit up 419 per cent

Fortis Healthcare, Asia’s largest private healthcare provider with a network of 68 hospitals, posted profit of Rs 27 crore in quarter ended March 2010, up 419 per cent from the same quarter of the previous year.

Fortis Escorts Heart Institute Delhi, Fortis Escorts Jaipur and Fortis Malar Chennai led the performance with a growth in operating revenue of 32 per cent, 65 per cent and 47 per cent respectively. Revenues of all these hospitals touched a new high for the quarter.
