Revealing the company plans, Malik Sadiq, the newly appointed CEO told Hindustan Times: “We have a presence in most of the five star hotels in India. We are now planning to enter the three and four star hotel segment. We will aggressively market the existing Godrej brands in this segment with a target to capture 30 per cent of the hotels in the segment.”

The JV inked for the poultry and frozen food segments will also see a launch of at least five new products by December 2009. Godrej has two brands in the poultry space—Yummiez, a frozen food brand, and Real Good Chicken, the raw chilled chicken brand. The JV will close the financial year with an investment of Rs 200 crore in the Indian market.
